SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd is the largest importer of petrol and diesel in Georgia. It imports up to 35,000 tons of oil products from Azerbaijan each month. The company is expanding rapidly by increasing its network of petrol stations around the country. SGP's strategic development plan includes construction of petroleum storage depots using modern technologies and develop its network of petrol stations up to 120.                                read more

27.02.10 The third playoff of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum,Ltd
On February, 26th the third drawing has been spent at SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd Service Centre, in which were participated as corporate so individual clients of the company. The members of commission observed the draw, in particular, Nodar Jikia, David Qalichava, Malkhaz Popkhadze and Giorgi Malutashvili.

19.02.10 SOCAR continues to invest and have success
On behalf of daughter companies in Georgia, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic made new investments in 2010. In two days SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened three new petrol stations. On February 18 and 19 petrol stations were opened in Tbilisi, Borjomi and Dafnari (Samtredia Municipality).

The Union of Producers, Importers and Consumers of oil products of Georgia identified the largest taxpayer in the oil products sector. Respectively, on January 26 of the current year the award ceremony was held in Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

20.01.10 SOCAR Energy Georgia sponsored Media-project "Sakhe(l)ebi"
In 2008 the publishing house "Sakhe(l)ebi" issued its 6th Georgian-English annual media-project. It needs to be mentioned that the General Sponsor of the issue was SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd. This year the event dedicated to the issuing of the seventh regular publicistic encyclopedia about the persons who make the history of the country for a year and main events of the year took place. It was organized by the publishing house "Sakhe(l)ebi" and sponsored by SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd.

20.01.10 In 2009 SOCAR increased supply of its own gas to Georgia
In 2009 SOCAR exported to Georgia more than one billion cubic meters of gas compared to 789 million cubic meters in 2008. In December the company exported to Georgia 146, 58 million cubic meters of gas. Supply of fuel to Georgia started in April 2008.

11.01.10 SOCAR will continue the process of gasification in Georgia
The volume of essential investments intended for the second industrial year of realizing the three-year program of gasification of 31 gas economies of Georgia, within the use of SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd (Daughter Company of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd) will amount to about 28 million dollars. Within the framework of the first industrial year the volume of investments amounts to 23 million dollars out of which around 15-16 million has already been utilized. The remaining part of investments is at the stage of being utilized at the moment.

11.01.10 In 2009 SOCAR supplied more than 800 million cubic meters of “social” gas at the Georgian market
In 2009 SOCAR Gas Supply, Ltd (daughter enterprise of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) supplied to Georgia more than 800 million cubic meters of "social gas". From the total amount of gas supplied at the Georgian market, about 302 million cubic meters of gas were provided by private gas companies of SOCAR, around 358 million cubic meters by a Shah Denis deposit (both bought by Georgia and handed to it in the form of payment for transit through South-Caucasus oil pipeline), the remaining 160 million cubic meters fell on gas, sent to Georgia from the Russian side for transit operations.
