SUCCESS OF THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEAM IN GENEVA

With the support of SOCAR, the Georgian Special Olympics team competed in the international tag rugby tournament held in Geneva, Switzerland, and won silver medals.

The team played 9 matches in the tournament, winning 7, drawing one, and losing only in the final match, where it was defeated by France by a narrow margin after a tense game.

The Georgian Special Olympics team, which was established in 2024, continues to perform successfully in international tournaments. Over the past three years, the team has recorded a total of 24 wins, 4 draws, and only one loss.

Supporting the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities and creating equal opportunities for them is one of the priority areas of SOCAR’s social responsibility.
