On February 20, 2026, in Tbilisi, SOCAR opened the first fully electric charging station in the South Caucasus - a project that represents not only an infrastructural innovation but also a new stage in the region’s energy transformation.

The station is fully dedicated to electric vehicles and is equipped with four charging units, enabling the simultaneous charging of up to six vehicles. The 120 kW fast chargers provide a full charge for four electric vehicles in approximately 40 minutes, while the 22 kW chargers are designed for customers who prefer to spend time at the zero-plastic-concept WAY MART store and café located at the station.

The station operates partially on solar energy, making the project even more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. Currently, electric vehicle chargers are operating at 15 SOCAR filling stations, and the expansion of the network across the country is actively ongoing.

The opening of the fully electric station marks an important step in SOCAR’s strategic development and reaffirms the company’s position as a progressive international energy brand committed to supporting the formation of a balanced and sustainable energy future in Georgia.
