On April 21, a student competition organized by SOCAR Georgia Petroleum was held, bringing together more than 150 teams from various universities. Out of these participants, 9 finalist teams were selected. On April 21, the selected participants presented their projects before the jury at Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

The aim of the project was to support young people - one of the priority directions of SOCAR’s CSR strategy - as well as to increase their engagement, encourage the development of ideas, and strengthen practical connections with the business sector.

The winners were announced in three categories:

  • Employees and Motivation
  • Customers and Loyalty
  • Quality and Communication

Each winning team received a cash prize of 5,000 GEL from the company.

It is also worth noting that, within the framework of the competition, the company initially planned to select one outstanding team for an internship opportunity at SOCAR Georgia Petroleum. However, based on the jury’s decision, all nine finalist teams will complete internships at the company.

The project was implemented in partnership with Student Hunt, Master Education, and Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

The student competition aimed to support young people, which represents one of the priority directions of SOCAR’s CSR strategy. SOCAR Georgia Petroleum will continue supporting initiatives that contribute to the professional development of young people and encourage innovative ideas in the future.
